This all-female band released their debut album, Beauty and the Beat, in 1981.  Composed of Jane Wiedlin, Belinda Carlisle, Charlotte Caffey, Gina Schock and Kathy Valentine, The Go-Go's eventually sold more than 7 million copies of their albums during their time. The Mayor presents The B-52's MegaMix

New-Wave rock band, The B-52's, gained a lot of popularity during the Punk/New Wave era. Complete with beehive hairdo resembling the nose cone of the B-52 aircraft,the band dished out songs distinguished by the unique voices of singers Cindy Wilson, Kate Pierson and, of course, Fred Schneider.  The Mayor strings up a number of their songs and puts it together to form this Megamix.  Warning, this mix does not slow down. Workshy presents All together now remix

"All Together Now" is a song by Liverpudlian pop band The Farm from their album Spartacus, and is said to link many of the band's favorite themes, socialism, brotherhood and football.

It took its lyrical/subject inspiration from the Christmas Day Truce in World War I and was heavily musically influenced by Johann Pachelbel's "Canon" and its descending chord sequence.

The song was produced by Graham McPherson, better known as Suggs, a founding member of the band Madness, and recorded at Mayfair Studios. It was originally released on November 26, 1990 peaking at #4 on the UK Singles Chart and #7 on the U.S. Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and its single cover showed a subbeteo figure wearing an army uniform and brandishing a BREN machine gun.

When in Rome were a New Wave trio, consisting of vocalists Clive Farrington and Andrew Mann, and keyboards player Michael Floreale. They are best known for their 1988 single, "The Promise". As a token of our appreciation for supporting this site, here's a requested tune remixed by yours truly. This has got to be the fastest remix I've ever done in terms of time (because as usual I certainly lack time that's why the ending may be a little abrupt). The Mayor goes back to his roots once again and puts together another new wave set for MixMinistry. During the 80's, in the Mayor's place, when one talks New Wave, one talks of Mode Zero, a group of young gentlemen who decided to venture into what-was-then the undiscovered realm of New Wave. Recognized as one of fore-runners of the new wave invasion in the Philippines, Mode Zero became known for doing what it does best...putting together a string of new wave tunes to come up with one seamless melody.
